Become A Runner
A Beginner 5K 
7-8 week programs

If you are able to walk for 30 minutes, this group will help you Become a Runner, in ability and in spirit. By gradually increasing your distance and building walk breaks into the program, you'll discover that not only is a 5k (3.1 mile) distance within your reach, it is enjoyable, gratifying and quite possibly addictive.

This group is about completing not competing - there will not be a specific time-goal. By the time you graduate, you will be able to call yourself a Runner.

Become A Runner: 
Late Fall: October 22 - December 14 , 2018

You are fairly comfortable with 3 miles but would like to improve your speed and stamina. Compare and improve your times against yourself, with the help of a team. Work on eliminating walk breaks, increasing your distance and quality runs. 

 NOTE: If you have never run or have not run consistently in the last 3 months, "Become A Runner" would suit you better.

   Distance & Half Marathon
        Beginning September 2018 & January 2019

Ever wanted to log a double digit run?!? This 15 week program uses interval running (3 minutes run: 1 minute walk) to build up to your choice distance. You'll be a part of a supportive & social team that will help you reach your goal. Runs will be approximately 10-13 minute miles**. Participants will receive weekly training tips via e-mail, including suggested supplement training, and are welcome to participate in weekday shorter morning runs. 
Participants should have at least 2 months base of 5-10 miles per week and should be comfortable run/walking for 3 miles. The first run will begin with a 3-4 mile run.
$185 Registration (race not included) for new participants.
Meets Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays

Whether you're returning to fitness, looking for partners to add to your routine, working your way to Become A Runner or just out to socialize, rise and shine for a 20-60 minute walk at dawn.  Nothing melts away the miles like good conversation! Takes place only when "Become A Runner" programs are in session.  Walks are informal and do not include coaching.

HIIT 
Walking Workout

HIIT Walking takes the principal of higher effort with the accessibility of walking to provide an aerobic exercise that is accessible to all, low-impact and loads of fun!

High Intensity Interval Training (or HIIT) is a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.
These certified coach-led workouts will include a focus on proper walking form, warm ups, a variety of games/drills and stretches. Walkers will hit 4000-7500 steps per hour. Powered by the great outdoors and friendships, HIIT Walking will become your favorite exercise!

ALUMNI CLUB

A reward for loyalty! Once you've completed ANY group with us, we'd love to help you keep training! Run, run/walk or Walk for any distance at a discount. 
The Run Clubs allow you to choose your schedule and distance based on your goals - Coach Ashley will work with you to map out a plan. All runs are an opportunity to maintain/hone your base miles, add variety with quality runs and new routes, and, of course socialize! 

 If you’re looking to continue your 1/2 marathon training, improve your 5K or push your distance beyond 3.1, add a longer, slow run on Saturdays! The Alumni Run Club includes all of the Weekly runs PLUS the Saturday Long Run, PLUS all of the HIIT Walking groups!

Open to all ACT Become A Runner alumni, Intermediate 5K, 1/2 Marathon group runners. and HIIT Walkers.

FYI: No workouts scheduled on a "Goal Race Day" or December 20-Jan 2, 2019.
