Winter Distance & Half Marathon
Beginning in January 7, 2017
Ever wanted to log a double digit run?!? This program uses interval running (3 minutes run: 1 minute walk) to build up to your choice distance. You'll be a part of a supportive & social team that will help you reach your goal. Runs will be approximately 8-13 minute miles**. Participants will receive weekly training tips via e-mail, including suggested supplement training, and are welcome to participate in weekday shorter morning runs.
Participants should have at least 2 months base of 5-10 miles per week and should be comfortable run/walking for 3 miles. The first run will begin with a 3-4 mile run.
$175 Registration (race not included) for new participants.
Meets Saturdays starting January 07, 2017 - April 23, 2017
March - April ½ Marathon
**Please contact me if you have questions about the training/race pace - there is flexibility.
Saturdays - all runs finish by 8:30am (start times vary based on distance)
Optional (but highly recommended) Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00am - 7:00am

Don't stop now! Continue the progress you made in the previous ACT Running program by maintaining your runs! The Run Clubs allow you to choose your schedule and distance based on your goals - Coach Ashley will work with you to map out a plan. All runs are an opportunity to maintain/hone your base miles, add variety with quality runs and new routes, and, of course socialize! Two options are available:
A reward for loyalty! Once you've completed a group with us, we'd love to help you keep running! Attend any of the weekly morning runs at a discount.
6am Mon/Wed/Fri is generally 3-3.5 miles on our "Usual 5K route."
6am Tues is generally a "Quality" workout including hills, tempo and speed training. 6am Thurs is generally 3-5 miles.
FYI: No runs scheduled December 20-Jan 3rd.
Distance Run Club
A reward for loyalty! Once you've completed a group with us, we'd love to help you keep running! Train for any distance at a discount. If you’re looking to continue your 1/2 marathon training, improve your 5K or push your distance beyond 3.1, add a longer, slow run on Saturdays! The Distance Run Club includes all of the Weekly runs PLUS the Saturday Long Run.
Two distances offered each Saturday, a short Long Run of 3-6 miles and a Long Run of 6-15 miles. All runs fully supported, 3:1 intervals (unless specifically training for other) and finished by 8:30am. Various routes.
Open to all ACT Become A Runner alumni, Intermediate 5K and 1/2 Marathon group runners.
FYI: No runs scheduled on a "Goal Race Day" or December 20-Jan 3rd.
